Who is a candidate for the operation?

  • Adults (the only exception is surgery for protruding ears)
  • Individuals in good overall health
  • Individuals with normal laboratory test results

How to prepare for the operation?

  • Laboratory tests should be performed 3 weeks before the operation and results sent for verification to the email address: info@drszczyt.pl
  • Discontinue taking medications and supplements, such as aspirin, NSAIDs, and vitamin E, 14 days before surgery.
  • Discontinue taking garlic, Ginko biloba, and Panax ginseng, as well as dietary supplements containing these herbs, 14 days before surgery.
  • Cease smoking for several weeks before and after surgery as it can delay healing.
  • I suggest getting vaccinated against HBV (Hepatitis B Virus).

On the day of the operation:

  • Do not consume any food or drinks at least 6 hours before general anesthesia and 4 hours before local anesthesia.
  • Do not smoke cigarettes and drink alcohol
  • Only regularly taken medications can be consumed with a small amount of water.
  • Take a shower, wash your hair, remove any cosmetics, and remove jewelry before the operation.
  • Remove artificial eyelashes before operations on the eyes and face.
  • There is no need to remove nail polish, hybrid polish, tips, etc. Fixed orthodontic devices are also not a hindrance.
  • Inform the surgeon of any unusual symptoms that occurred within 2 weeks before the operation (fever, cough, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, hives, etc.).

The surgical procedure cannot take place in the case of:

  • Presence of inflammatory foci in the body or coexistence of diseases such as uncontrolled hypertension, heart diseases, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, untreated bronchial asthma, herpes
  • Taking medications that disrupt blood clotting (e.g. aspirin)
  • Menstruation
  • Pregnancy or breastfeeding period
  • Mental illness, emotional instability and unrealistic expectations
